I’m leaving lanternville! Getting back on the road tomorrow, off to somewhere new. Maybe I’ll make some little clay horses. Knit some tiny saddles. Stitch up a cowboy outfit. Run around outside. Then climb on my steed and take off for parts unknown.
We’ll see.

I am so in love with your laterns!
So – when you get on your steed – are you going cat herding?
Mary Ann Moss says
susan,
there are just bits of fabric strips, and the old trim around the top, the main structure is all paper. i took it outside to take pics. it will live inside by the window and me. i think some made out of chinese brocade would be lovely for outdoors. ideas ideas!

Wow! How much of these latest lanterns are cloth and how much are paper. I think they need some little bells too – if they are living outside…

It must be past my bedtime, I just erased my comment. OH.
How have I missed these lovely lanterns? Damn.
But I will tell you that e.w. is outfitted in her very best Calamity Jane digs and is impatiently waiting for the signal to “Head em up, move em out, Rawhide!”
You will find her nestled in your hibiscus bloom. Look for the gaudiest one and she’ll be there with bells on. Just approach her slowly and cautiously as she can be a bit trigger happy. Plus, she tends to spit a bit of tobacci in these instances, so stand back.

Even if I have not had time to stitch for weeks and weeks and weeks, I never want to miss your blog. You are my absolute hands down favorite party online these days!
