Waiting for more rain in Los Angeles. And mining for more orange among my photos.
Howdy, I'm Mary Ann Moss, the chimp at the helm of this ship. I've been blogging right here since 2007 and exploring the world & driving getaway cars since 1963.

that is lantana. comes in lots of different color combos. extremely drought tolerant. more of a low growing spreading shrub. enjoy!

Is that a lantana on top left? I remember them because they look like those little cloth flowers we sewed on dolls’ hats & outfits, etc.

An auspicious color and time to find it. (It is the color of Je Tsongkhapa, a Buddha of Wisdom, whose birthday is this month)

Loving the Orange
Loving the drippy, gray days…
It makes me remember the “poem” I had to learn to get over my baby lisp…
“The rain is raining all around
upon the just and unjust fellow;
But mostly upon the just,
For the unjust has the just’s umbrella!”
Happy rainy days!

so pretty! orange is a color that is growing on me. it isn’t usually my first choice when it comes to my own art, but when i see orange i can’t help but think, “where have you been all my life?”
