I am resting right here in a pool of yellow & pink light. Still making circles with my paint brush and some squares too. When I was finished with these pages they reminded me of Chinatown.
Tomorrow on my drive to school I may need to pull over and drink my coffee there. Watch the shadows the early morning light casts on the lanterns and the rooftops. If you visit LA, come to Chinatown just after the sun has risen. The light is golden. The streets are empty. Bring your camera.
The smallness of this book makes me giddy. After years of super-sized journals this one feels weightless. I think less about what I'll do on the pages. I don't feel compelled to write on every page. Little exercises in color and pattern. Giving in to impulses.

I can read in your posts how utterly ecstatic you are with your new found outdoor living. It is like your surroundings have been renewed and you are hearing and seeing things for the very first time and they are colorful and amazing and filling your soul with happiness. Well done!

This is a very pretty palette. Is that coral colored lotus like bloom on the second photo from paper or fabric? yummy!
