A big serving of cold and grey in the City of Angels today. Too much sunshine causes my smooth thoughts to become jagged. Rain is in the forecast for next week! It’s 56 degrees outside! Not enough cool weather to smooth out my thoughts yet. Bear with me. An elf sent me some Christmas fabric. So I made a toaster cover!
Look at me! Look at me NOW! Stop sewing paper together and making toaster covers and pet me. Or I will do something bad.
But first let me go lay down. On top of your projects.
Regular registration has begun for REMAINS OF THE DAY .
Off to toss another log in the fire and curl up with a hot toddy and a book!

If you make a cat cozy, they will leave you alone. I am speaking from experience.
Loving all the beautiful pics!!

It was so gloomy cool today I made 8 things!! It was v. gratifying. That kitty is scrunch worthy. My dog is so weird. She acts like a cat and sits on the things I’m working on. She also hides in plain sight under dining chairs. Basically, she’s conflicted.
Have a fabulous class.

If I can drug up my sewer, sift through my threads, and my name got plucked up on a Tuesday, would I qualify to participate?

Pretty fabric! Hope you get just the weather you want LOL!

Toss my name in the hat please as well.

My hubby does the same thing as your kitty. They are so difficult to train and definitely have minds of their own, but so nice to have around to keep one company.
I got my registration thing, joined the yahoo, joined the flickr and I am set to go.
I can’t wait Empress of the Craft Monkeys( or is that monkies???)

I don’t have any cats to mess up my stuff but I do a good job on my own. I am so so excited about this class as I was about all your other classes. I don’t have a fancy machine but it sews and has a few dec stitches on it. I have my sec envelopes piling up, the fabric is ready, I have a lot of canvas pieces that I painted and decorated and I have tons of misc papers, etc so I think I am ready… All I can say is OPEN….OPEN….OPEN……

Of coures I meant “behaves” in my previous comment. The keys are a little sticky this morning. 🙂

When I lived in California, as much as I loved the warmth, I always looked forward to the cooler and greyer weather (though for some odd reason, not the “june gloom”).
I have an elf in my house that looks and behves remarkably like yours …

I’d take 56 degrees…it was 27 degrees here (northern Arkansas) last night…count me in for the drawing!
katy says
my cat does that too! she will sit right in front of what im doing or on top of it and look at me until she gets what she wants and if i wait too long she knocks everything over that she can. that works every time.

Am I going to make you all very cross and jealous if I say that it’s a LOVELY day here in sunny Cape Town? Again.
Claire says
It was 56 degrees there, eh? how about a high of 30 and a few inches of SNOW. And my cat wanted nothing more than to go on the deck and play in the snow until he realized it was COLD! Silly cat.

I think you have the long lost twin to my spoiled fuzzball..I put her picture on my blog today because we made her a cardboard house to keep her OCCUPIED !

In India, the rainy season is supposed to be romantic — peacocks dance, you get relief from the heat, you can dally with your lover, etc. But for me it usually brings power failures and surges, and therefore burned out appliances. But the peacocks are nice to think about.

I can’t wait to see this unfold. I wish I could say I was waiting for rain – shall I send you a few buckets full? I think it will soon turn into mushy snow…

I cracked up reading your post about 56 degrees outside and waiting for rain. Today our high was 41 and expect a low of 24 tonight! There are days I wish I were back in SoCal. I remember going to the beach on Christmas Day as a kid. Loved it. Anyway – got your invite for the class – can’t wait to get started! Hugs from an ex-LA girl.

I’ve truly enjoyed all of your posts, and I’m tossing myself headlong into the hat so Puh-le-e-e-ze pick me, pick me, (the one jumping up and down , waving her hand) , me-ow.

My kitties always try to get in on the act, too.
It’s been very windy up here today and cold tonight. I’m sitting by the fire with a cup of tea and enjoying being warm and cozy.

My dogs do the same act as your kitties. Good thing is my dogs cannot easily jump on furniture, so some things are very protected. I love your toaster cover fabric, Que chic!
