Sunday. Home. Mining through photos. Eating bean cakes from Chinatown.
Cutting more piles of lace. Sewing yards of garland. Greeks arrived with gifts and were put to work hanging, stringing, nailing.
Lanterns were relocated. Complaints were lodged. And ignored. Know this: if you visit Moss Cottage you will be put to work.
I’m going through magazines tonight and assembling pictures for loose gluebooky collages. Complete fun.
Did you save room for dessert?
I want to go to there. So will you.
Just popping up to say how much I adore your blog, it’s a feast for the senses, and never fails to make me smile!
This is a feast for the eyes Mary Ann. Thanks so much for the links and I’ve discovered Empire Vintage is here in Victoria. I have a friend who lives near the shop so I’ll definitely be paying it a visit.
Thanks for the fab links – of course, I spent waaaay too much time perusing all the websites, but hey – it was my day off, so why not?? Lovely photos, as always.
you paint such a gorgeous picture ere…as always… and I looove china town cakes.for breakfast, which it is now time for… somehow toast is not gong to cut it.
I love seeing how you decorate your home. The garlands are great. I can’t believe your cats actually leave them alone long enough for you to finish them and hang them up.Good cats. Mary
LOVE your garlands! I’ve been obsessed with making my own over the top colorful ones and have been wondering how much of my house I can cover with garlands before it becomes “too much”. Too much for others, that is, because there is no such thing as too much for me! I got the idea from a friend for putting a clothes line inside and clipping painted papers to it. I put mine along the windows and call them “curtains”! I think there’s a pic on my blog. I can’t wait to see more of your decorating!!
a veritable feast – loving those dainty garlands of yours
February LA, wet backyard. I can smell it.
It is possible to love the place you live and simultaneously long for another. Thanks for being our agent of travel
