A wide channel of smoke snaked its way across the western sky this evening. My neighbor and I agreeing that the purple sky is lovely, but ominous. The air smells of smoke. Fire season has come to call in Southern California. My daydreams of storybook ponds and rowboats and sheets of tinkling rain continue.
I’ve been tucked away inside all day. Cool air from the window ac blowing away the heat and keeping the smoke away from tiny cat lungs and big human ones. It’s not exactly the same as being trapped inside by 10 foot high snowdrifts, but I’m making do quite nicely.
My box of collage provisions runneth over.
More Poladroid images from my trip up north. Or did I take these in my dream last night. I can’t remember.
Do you remember me posting about the work of Larissa Wilson, whose work I spotted in Lawrence, Kansas? Well that post got a comment today from a gallery owner in Seattle:
Larissa Wilson will be showing at the Fetherston Gallery in Seattle Dec 4-23. Fetherston Gallery 818 East pike Street Seattle Wa
if you live in the area you could go check it out for yourself. If you were so inclined.

The Larissa Wilson from Lawrence is my sister. She is not the same as the Larissa Wilson showing in Seattle, WA. I will pass on your praise of her work to her! It is wonderful to see her get some attention for her artwork. She is also the pastry chef at the restaurant you saw her work in.

The lack of clear air, the leaves that don’t turn all shades of warm, going back to the old grind…….none of those things seems to keep you down in the creativity department, in fact, your work just keeps blossoming and growing.
Flotsom and jetsom forever!!!

Your links are very helpful to me as a person and as a spiritual being, as well as enabling me to further develop my superpowers. So, thank you.
Even so, your journaling is even better.

Thanks for making an album of your pages. I think your journal pages are so vibrant, personal and unique. It is fun to see the page of thumbnails (hmm – I am now picturing a page of actual thumbnails – eeeewww) to see the overall look and historical progression of styles. Maybe I’ll make a page album.
