Experiments.
In my mind these are a series of postcards. Or messages. You find them crumpled up, stepped on, blowing down the sidewalk. You pick it up. Huh? Where'd this come from? I'm printing it out and tossing it out the window tomorrow on my way downtown. It will float through the air and eventually make its way onto the sidewalk. Or maybe end up in the parking lot of Big Mama Donuts on Figueroa.
Poetry fragments. I don't want anything in its entirety. Give me bits and pieces and I will build new things.
…this hive of restlessness,
this wedge of want my mind calls self,
this self which doubts so much and which keeps reaching,
keeps referring, keeps aspiring, longing, towards some state
this wedge of want my mind calls self,
this self which doubts so much and which keeps reaching,
keeps referring, keeps aspiring, longing, towards some state
This ramshackle, this unwieldy, this jerry-built assemblage,
this unfelt always felt disarray: is this the sum of me,
is this where I'm meant to end, exactly where I started out?
this unfelt always felt disarray: is this the sum of me,
is this where I'm meant to end, exactly where I started out?

found art…love this… exactly where I am at. Fragments of poetry, quotes…fleeting thoughts drifting on the breeze. Gentle insistence of your greatness.

I am loving everything about this piece…the background, the image, the font of the text, the color choice, and the grungy edges. Fantastic!

You can also tuck them into pages of library books. I have some wonderful things thus. Leave them on a shelf in a store. Impale one on a branch of a tree. Like fairy dust but larger. How lovely!

Do you think it could possibly make it to Avenue D? I would pick it up, dodging the cars as they speed by~or maybe not. How about T Street? I would definately pick it up =)

this fires my imagination, really. I won’t look at street ephemera quite the same way as I did. and what a great image this is!
littering, however, IS a crime.
