As I type this, rain is making a beeline towards Los Angeles.
Between the monkey wrangling at my day job and the flu the old blog has hit the skids. Not to worry. Regular programming will resume any day now. Got to catch my breath first.
At the little classroom in the city Valentine's Day came and went.
Things were made. Candy was eaten. Valentines were exchanged

I was in LA on Tuesday. I talked with some natives, whom were none too happy about the weather. When I told them I was from Minnesota, land of -30 winters, they stopped talking about the rain.
I loved every little droplet. 🙂

OK, I’m tired of waiting! Drag yourself up off your sick-bed and at least let us know you’re still alive. You don’t need to be witty or clever or post any works of art – just feebly wave your hand. Sick and overworked is not a pretty sight and I hope you’ll be feeling frisky again really really soon. Remember, your growing fan club is waiting for you – some more patiently than this one.

What are the yellow fringe-y things in back of the dino? In addition to mailing their valentines, we had the Cookie Factory in our class. Kids have to buy cookie and frosting and assorted decorations, budgeting the ten pennies we gave them to come up with the gunkiest sweet constructions.
I sympathize with you, sick girl. I used up the rest of my sick leave earlier this month and i still feel small & puny.
Your photo eye(s) are remarkable. I have said that before but it strikes me with every picture you post.

Having you as a teacher must be quite the inspiring experience for these kids.
I taught art in Philadelphia for 10 years…many moons ago and still feel that i made a major impact on many of their lives….and I am not the most self confident of people.
MOB BOSS IS AMAZING!

How wonderful that you are still able to have parties with candy. Our school district has determined that there shouldn’t be class parties because someone might be offended and there can’t be any sugar stuff because someone might not like it. Jeez. Talk about taking the fun out of holidays and all in the name of somekind of political correctness. The kids are the ones who really miss out on having one day being special and different from the rest. Looking at the faces of your kids, you can see how important it is to them. Thanks for sharing the pictures. They made me smile.

I wondered where you were! I hope you’re doing better? These pictures are so fun. Thanks for posting them. They brought me lots of great school memories about Valentine’s Day, and the kids look like they’re having a good time. It rained tonight, the night after the lunar eclipse. But we were so lucky last night, the clouds moved away during the eclipse, and gave us a beautiful view of the moon…

Sorry to hear you are sick. I was down for the entire month of January with that nasty bug. Your photo of T-Rex is hilarious! Glad to see you still have your good sense of humor through it all. Hope you’re better soon. *HEART*

Hope you feel better soon, Mary Ann! You give so much to so many (your monkeys, your blog readers, etc.), you need to slow down a bit and take some time for yourself. Rest easy!
