There’s something about a blue house. Blue houses dazzle me. This one is a few doors down from my house. It’s more of an aqua house, but very very nice. Don’t you think?
After 8 days the mailart I sent my sister arrived with a thud. She thinks this stamp I put on the back may have caused the delay. It’s hard to say for sure.
I sent out a whole mess of these. Half have arrived. The other are in mailart limbo. I think that would be a pleasant place to be. Maybe as nice as living inside of a blue house.
This mailart I sent to Vermont didn’t get delayed. I like it when that happens.

P.S. I have a pink house – it reminds me of a sugary creme puff. I’d much rather have a blue house; I would chuckle as I left for work each morning. “Heh, I live in a smurf.”
But that’s just me.

I got your mailart! It is hanging on the huge bulletin board in my office so everyone sees it as they walk into my house. Yeay, thanks! I’ve been out of commission as I lost my appendix last weekend. Your mailart was in the pile of mail I received when I got back from the hospital. I was very excited through my drug-induced consciousness. This weekend I plan to tackle some of my own. Keep your eyes peeled.

Frida Kahlo painted her house blue–she believed that it would repell evil spirits. 🙂

The blue houses are so light hearted… I love that. A home shouldn’t be too somber.
You’ve got me all inspired to do some mail art. This weekend for sure. Keep ya posted!

Blue House #1 and Blue house #9 are similar colors to the label on the jar of skippy peanut butter – hey come to think of it there is a burst of rays on the label too. This particular jar is the creamy variety and also has a hiker on front. I am normally a chunky girl and then I decided that maybe I could change my whole personna by going from chunky to creamy in the morning on my banana. I will report back with details. But most important is the reading of the blog that accompanies the peanut butter, banana, and short cappucino. You might want to float an inquiry over to the folks at skippy and see if they want to put “Dispatch from LA on their label”!
