Los Angeles was cool and gray today. Temperature right this second is 64 degrees under a partly cloudy sky. Tonight the moon will be a Waning Gibbous with 75% illuminated. Not that we’ll be able to see her under all these clouds.
I like facts. I really do. But wrapping my pea brain around this sentence nearly did me in:
“It is therefore possible, if a black hole is present, for the virtual particle with negative energy to fall into the black hole and become a real particle, but because it has positive energy, it is also possible for it to escape to infinity as a real particle.”
I think Stephen Hawking is going to need to make time in his schedule to sit down and start answering some questions. I mean if I’m going to learn about the origin and fate of the universe I’m going to need the elementary explanation along with lots of diagrams. I’m sure he lectures to the feeble-minded once in a while. Right?
The Pony Express was very good to me today. 2 more pieces of MAILART landed in the vicinity of my mailbox. Hot diggity dog! First my sister sent me this:
You won’t be able to tell, but she incorporated some of Papa Moss’ handwriting onto this piece. How cool is THAT?
Mailart with a funny poem attached. What could be bettah? Not one darn thing. I love zee poems.
Then Suzanne from her perch high above the Chicago Zoo sent me this:
Another clever & beautiful travelogue with brilliant photos of trips she’s taken to Turkey, Mexico, & Italy. Look at this and weep. Go ahead get the tissue. I’ll wait.
The pages way up at the tippy top are from my current visual journal, but aren’t in the photo albums up on the left there in the sidebar…..yet. I am slowly adding all the pages of my current journal starting with the ones I posted here already.
Down below are some more mailart fragments from a piece that is headed up to the Pacific Northwest in search of its new home. Just a glimmer though. I’ll post the rest once it gets settled into its new digs.
And finally, these pieces I sent out last week made their way across the continental divide to land in Kansas & Iowa. Will reveal more of them tomorrow.

Oh that stephen hawking has a mind like a super hiway with many interchanges and overpasses. I have a one lane country road brain with deep ravines on either side where thoughts can get lost for weeks at a time in the weeds. and when I have two competing thoughts one of them just better pull over or certain disaster will occur. I must have started life as a negative particle that fell through a black hole and therefore I am now leading a virutal existance.

If I could only have 10% of your creative energy… oh, oh and I love this part “it’s like i could eat it with a spoon…. :)(jolenemarie).” It doesn’t even need custard or ice cream. Just as it is.

I love the Jesus poem!! There is so much truth to the whole bowling alley…coming over to your house thing. Non “religious” people loved hanging out with Him and often invited Him to their parties. Not sure if they were “keggers” but I know there was alchohol involved. He always went, and stayed and laughed and talked and even changed water into wine for someones wedding. Even though the bible doesn’t say this my bet is he did really throw gutter balls because he was just a regular guy who never threw it in your face that he was God.
